NERC National Capability

National capability lets the UK deliver world-leading environmental science, support national strategic needs, and respond to emergencies. PML plays a prominent role in delivering this capability for NERC and the UK.

Single Centre NC projects

The NERC Long Term Science Single Centre programme is delivered through the Climate Linked Atlantic Sector Science (CLASS) project which is coordinated by the National Oceanography Centre and contains three underpinning science activities, the Atlantic Meridional Transect (AMT), the Western Channel Observatory (WCO) and ERSEM model development.
