Turn the tide to a sustainable ocean economy

Event description:

The 11th annual World Ocean Summit in Lisbon will lead the way to spark conversation and action in the transition to a sustainable ocean economy with over 1500 delegates attending.

Our Professor Ana Queirós is Chairing the track on 'Ocean climate solutions' and Moderator of the panel on 'Creating an enabling environment for ocean science and governance' as well as the Moderating 'Preserving and scaling marine nature-based solutions'.

Professor Steve Widdicombe will speak on the panel of the Ocean Health Track strategy session: 'Developing clearer national ocean-acidification action plans' and Professor Icarus Allen will discuss the future of autonomous long-range ocean health monitoring and novel research vehicle Oceanus on the Innovation Showcase stage.

Will you be there too? Join and meet with the PML team at booth 26!

This year's World Ocean Summit will focus on ocean health, industry strategies for a sustainable ocean economy, and ocean-climate solutions. The summit will feature more than 200 expert speakers and convene the widest cross-section of the ocean community from business and finance to government, national and international policymakers, civil society and academia.

This event provides the perfect platform to inspire new partnerships, solutions and strategies on the track to meet the 2030 targets in UN Sustainable Development Goal 14. It is designed to change the way business is done in the ocean.
