It sailed from Port Stanley, The Falklands on 12 May 2003 and docked in Grimsby, UK on 17 June 2003. The principal scientist was Tim Jickells from the University of East Anglia, UK.
The cruise aimed to compare and contrast the functioning of the plankton in the north and south Atlantic gyres.
