Dr. Dionysios Raitsos received his BSc in Marine Biology, MSc in Fisheries Science, and PhD in Satellite Oceanography (from Newcastle, Aberdeen, & Plymouth respectively). He worked for 6 yrs as a post-doctoral researcher in Greece (HCMR) and Saudi Arabia (KAUST). He joined the Remote Sensing Group (RSG) at PML in 2013 and worked as a Senior Research Scientist here until 2019.

Dionysis is interested in satellite remote sensing applications in ocean colour, plankton, and fisheries in relation to the regional environmental variability and broader climate oscillations (Red Sea, Atlantic, Pacific and Mediterranean Sea)."
