The workshop provided a unique opportunity for early career scientists to learn about microplastics, share knowledge and network. During the workshop the researchers had the opportunity to present their research and gain valuable feedback from discussion with established researchers. The participants were also able to forge links for future collaborative work.
The British Council and CONCYTEC covered the costs related to participation in the workshop which also formed part of the ‘British Council Researcher Links’ programme which provides opportunities for early career researchers from the UK and internationally to interact, learn from each other and explore opportunities for building long-lasting research collaborations.
