Technology development
A key element of our programme is to develop and exploit emergent
hard and soft technologies. Commercial development of these
technologies is often through technology transfer with industry
partners.
We have a long and strong track record in oceanographic sensors
and platforms, and several world leading products have their
development routes in PML, for example Chelsea Technologies Group's
Aqua and Nushuttle range of towed bodies. We also designed and
built pioneering technology, now available commercially, for
measuring the drawdown and release of carbon dioxide across the sea
surface.
