PML is shortlisted for the national Charity Awards
4th May 2007
PML has been shortlisted for a prestigious award by the national
Charity Awards 2007, in the category of Animals and the
Environment. PML will be competing against 2 other organisations to
win this accolade.
Following a rigorous judging process, 31 organisations were
shortlisted for 10 categories from a record level of entries to the
UK’s largest and longest established charity awards programme.
Now in their eighth year, the Charity Awards reward excellence
in management and the shortlisted charities have displayed this by
turning innovation, passion and vision into an effective project or
organisation demonstrating considerable impact.
The winners will be honoured at the presentation gala dinner on
21st June 2007 at Battersea Park Events Arena, while one category
winner will go on to receive the overall award for excellence in
management. In addition, one of the shortlisted charities will
receive the effectiveness award and an individual will receive the
outstanding achievement award.
Professor Nick Owens, Chief Executive of PML, commented: “We are
extremely excited and honoured to have been shortlisted for this
esteemed award, which reaffirms that the work being carried out at
PML is both progressive and highly valuable to society”
